What? Agenda (PDF, 139 KB). A meeting sponsored by COMPASS (Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea) and co-sponsored by:

Why? Several organizations are initiating innovative projects to investigate the science needed to approach ocean management in a more integrated way. This meeting brings these groups and others together to discuss policy-relevant science needed to create a shared vision for ecosystem-based management (EBM).

How? Scientists and managers will come together to create a natural and social science agenda that informs and is informed by management. This meeting is part of a larger goal to connect the science, management, policy, and governance needed to address integrated, ecosystem-based management over the long-term. Participation in this meeting is by invitation only, but everyone interested in EBM in the Gulf of Maine is encouraged to engage in working toward the larger goal. Please contact COMPASS New England Science/Policy Coordinator Verna Delauer for more information.

When? March 27 and 28, 2007. Breakfast and lunch will be included both days and an evening reception and dinner will be held on March 27. RSVP by February 15, 2007.

Where? The New England Center at the University of New Hampshire’s campus in Durham, NH. Directions to the New England Center: Web page, PDF (56 KB), or Word (43 KB)
