Main Topic - Planning for the Our of the Fog II Workshop (OOTF II)

Items:

  1. ACAP Saint John has agreed to be the local organiser for the OOTF II Workshop. Brillant will develop a workplan with funding estimates for consideration;
  2. The draft terms of reference were reviewed and a number of revisions were proposed. The revised Terms of Reference/Announcement can be found on the www.gominfoex.org home page. Please review and comment to Boudreau.
  3. Identification of tasks:
    • Local Organiser - contact local hotels and get cost estimates, prepare workplan and budget, consider contacting possible sponsors.
    • Strawman Documents Lead - Boudreau and Schroeder to consider this in preparing journal article.
    • Registration procedure - no invitations will be sent. E-mail, the web site and personal contacts will be used to promote attendance. ACAP Saint John will receive registration forms. Boudreau to prepare a draft registration form for discussion at next meeting.
    • Facilitator - it was agreed that there may be a need for a facilitator/host.
    • Agenda Development - all interested parties are asked to submit suggestions for agenda to Boudreau for consideration. Depending on the number of registrations, small breakout sessions may be necessary. There is also a possibility of a session in front of computers for a limited number of participants depending on interest. Comments were made after the last Out of the Fog meeting expressing disappointment, how do we improve things for Out of the Fog II. All suggestions received by the end of March will be considered.
  4. The next meeting of the GOMINFOEX Action Committee is proposed for April 4th, in Saint John, New Brunswick. Meeting will begin at 12:30 and it is anticipated that participants will stay overnight allowing for an evening informal work session. All interested parties are encouraged to comment and welcome to participate.
