Contribute Records to the KnowledgeBase

Do you know of any publications, Web pages, or bibliographic databases that should be included in the KnowledgeBase (KB)? We encourage you to contribute them.

You can submit a single good reference, or many, that you happen to notice isn't in the KB yet. Or perhaps your organization has an internal database of publications that could be imported into the KB. Or maybe you have researched a particular topic and collected a dozen or two references relevant to the Gulf of Maine. Why not share them with other people?

The KnowledgeBase is a shared resource that enables people to exchange scientific and management-related information about the Gulf of Maine and its watershed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. Your contributed references will help the KnowledgeBase to grow even more useful.

Contributions can range from single records to bibliographic databases of thousands of records.

  • Add a single record to the KnowledgeBase.
Do you know of a fact sheet, map, technical report, PowerPoint presentation, or other information source that would be a worthy addition to the KnowledgeBase?
  • Submit your reference collection to the KnowledgeBase.
Perhaps you have an Excel spreadsheet, EndNote file, or ProCite file with a few dozen references about Topic X in the Gulf of Maine and its watershed. Right now, it might just be sitting on your computer. Would it be useful to other people?
  • Contribute a library collection or bibliographic database.
  • Does your organization have a database of publications? Do you have a file containing bibliographic details for records related to science, management, and policy in the Gulf of Maine and its watershed? It could be imported into the KnowledgeBase, making it available online.
  • Compiling a set of references? Plan ahead to add them to the KB.
  • If you are planning to compile a spreadsheet or bibliographic database and are interested in contributing the references to the KnowledgeBase, please contact us before you begin. We will help you format the data so they can be imported easily into the KnowledgeBase.

Please contact the KB administrators if you are interested in contributing one or more record to the KnowledgeBase.
