The purpose of the project was to develop a watershed management plan for
the Dennys River watershed to help identify and protect areas of high water quality and to identify and improve those areas of poor water quality or NPS pollution within the watershed. The plan was based on input from stakeholders representing local industry, government, non-profits, municipalities and the community. Through several facilitated research and discussion sessions, stakeholders reviewed water quality data, prioritized NPS sites, and developed strategies for both implementation and NPS pollution prevention. The plan was completed in February, 2005.
