Larsen, Peter Foster and Henri E. Gaudette. Spatial and Temporal Aspects of Sedimentary Trace Metal Concentrations in Mid-Coast Maine. 1991. 8 pp.

This report, written by Peter Foster Larsen and Henri E. Gaudette, documents a study done to determine trace metal concnetrations in the sediments of coastal Maine, which runs from Cape Elizabeth to Boothbay. A previous report had been conducted in 1980 to determine these same levels. This resource documents the methods used in the 1991 research, as well as explains significant results. Included is a comparison of the 1991 and 1980 results which uses bar graphs to illustrate the differences. This report also contains a discussion of the most striking result of the study, that the concentration levels vary greatly between subregions. From the comparisons and the discussion, the report offers a list of five conclusions drawn from such information.
