This resource is an appendix to the report prepared by the Marine Law Institute on the state laws protecting the Gulf of Maine marine environment in Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire. For each of the aforementioned states, the appendix summarizes the laws regarding regulated activities, such as development, pollution control, hazardous wastes and oil spill prevention, and for protected areas, including the protection of coastal wetlands, sand dunes, estuaries, coastal wildlife, as well as coastal acquisition programs.
