Web Mapping Services (WMS)
Data displayed on the ESIP Monitoring Map are also available via Web Mapping Services (WMS). Web Mapping Services allow the data to be displayed directly on other Web-based maps and in GIS mapping applications. Because the data are hosted on the Gulf of Maine Council’s server and served in real-time on demand, rather than downloaded, WMS enables end-users to see the most up-to-date data.
